It's dealer installed. I was pretty pissed that the factory wiring harness had that many taps stuck into it. Gently pull all those loose and you should only have 1 or two wires that need to be cut and crimped back together like mine.

edit: your pictures show a slightly different looking plug you've disconnected. Careful about what you remove/cut.

The only thing I disconnected is the little round unit which had the green LED and a small button, it had a small plug with wire thin wires coming into it. nothing else has been disconnected.

    Can you return the truck?

Thank you for the research on the OBD replicator, so now what is a tracker for? is this like Low Jack? or is this from an episode of Breaking Bad?

Looks like somebody decided one GPS tracker on your truck wasn't enough and added a second one. I would be pissed.
Hell I even opted out of the Toyota system in the first week I had ithe truck.

This is most likely a dealer installed item; either by your dealer or the previous dealer. They put them on vehicles to keep track of the vehicles when they are stolen from their sales lots and also if you finance the vehicle through the dealership for the purpose of locating the vehicle in case of nonpayment. I've removed them before from vehicles, but some have been installed by butchers as it appears yours has been. You may need some good electrical experience to remove. If curious if your dealer installed or the previous dealer, return to your dealer's lot and examine the vehicles on their lot for the same device.
