It's looking like I'll stream on Saturday from 3pm-5pm CST, instead of my usual 6-8pm on Sunday. I'll stick to that unless something changes. I hope it'll work out for most people.

I wish I was this clever.

 

I always thought with gifs like this, it just takes the right source, right idea, and right time.

The text is easy to do. Hard shadow, rotate, tracking. Boom!

Now granted, I don't post in the big threads much anymore like Imgur and Reddit, so my meta game isn't TOO general. But posting in a site like this where it's a bit more personal is more my speed.

With that, I'm working on potentially funny gif idea.

 

I'm always coming up with stuff when I'm at work but I'm useless without my PC. By the time I get home I've already forgotten what I was excited about. Or the thread has moved on and my gif will be out of context and not as funny. But I agree with you, I like making gifs for TW where it only applies to here. It's too hard trying to please those masses elsewhere.

 

If you can watch the source and work and put the text to it, that's like half the battle.
I do something like this, just to get the in and out points of the video and the text.


Next, if I want to have different text, I'll change it up by adding a line below it and maybe notes using ( ).

This way, when you get to your gif factory, you're able to quickly find the scene, trim it, and start dumping text to it.

 

Don't worry about having to be in the moment. Current event gifs are a pain. But if you can get one out about 2-3 days after it came out, you can usually get some pretty good hits on other page.

 

For the easily confused, I added a link to my signature for both streaming, and discord.

 

Stream time in about 40 minutes. Testing out a new layout.

 

I hope y'all liked the new layout. Figured it was better than just having a screen and a random chat box. But let me know what you think.

I know it's not gif related, but I'm going to be streaming a game with a few TW members from the TW Steam thread tomorrow evening.

9PM CST, we'll be playing a multiplayer game of Depth. It's a team of divers vs a frenzy of sharks. It should prove to be pretty funny.
