Hello everyone, I just joined Tacoma World, but have been following for a few months now. Purchased a 2013 Tacoma in late October of 2012, and have really enjoyed my new pickup so far. It is a Nautical Blue Access Cab 4x4 with TRD Off-Road and Towing packages added. I opted for the 6-speed Manual Transmission as well, because that is all I have ever driven my whole life, and I do not enjoy driving automatics.

I have added Tacoma License Plate frames, Smitty Built side step bars, a Dee Zee rubber bed mat, and a K&N Performance Air filter to the truck thus far. I want to do more, and hope to pull on the collective experiences and wisdom of my fellow Tacoma owners here on Tacoma World. It is good to be here.

    Welcome from TN!

I pass thru once or twice a year going to WNY to see family. I hate that its so flat and nothing but corn fields for 100’s of miles.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I have been quite impressed with the performance of my Tacoma so far. My last Toyota was a 1985 Camry with a 5-speed manual that went close to 200k miles before it started to have serious issues. Hopefully I'll have many years of enjoyment from this truck. Within weeks of purchase, I took it hunting, and was really pleased with how it handled off road. It climbed a winding dirt road up a mountain in 2WD mode before I ever even had to think about engaging the 4WD right near the top. Even then, it was just because of a mud spot where I encountered some slight rear tire spin.

I want to add some more stuff to it, and look forward to getting advice from everyone here. Thanks again for the friendly greetings.
