    Okay. First off, I'm an old guy. Just had my 60th birthday...but I don't feel a day over 40.

    New to the forum, but not new to Tacoma. I had a 2005 that was in great condition and I fully planned to keep it until retirement. Unfortunately, life had other plans. My wife and I were driving through San Marcos when suddenly we hydroplaned and totaled it. Thankfully, we escaped with minor injuries. I have to give the Tacoma its due. It kept us safe in a situation that could've ended much, much differently.

    There was never a doubt what the replacement vehicle would be. I got a really great deal on a new '17 SR5 double cab since the '18's were needing the space at the dealership.

    I know I won't make forum friends here, but as an old curmudgeon I'm not really into the recent black-out-everything fad. I get it, but it's not me. I replaced the plain-Jane SR5 grille with a T-Rex billet. Not too blingy, but not black, either.

    I've researched and upgraded the L/H beams with Hikari's, but aside from all weather mats and a bed liner, it's still stock.

    That's my story. Looking forward to learning and appreciate your patience.
