still trying to figure out cause of park and taillights coming on for 5 minutes and then going off in a parked, locked and shut down 08 taco in my driveway, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated> i,m at wits end!

Sounds like it's just an auto feature. My first gen has this. They always turn off when I open the door, but if I turn the key back on or whatever, they will stay on, then automatically shut off after so long. Think it's like 5 minutes too. Maybe I0. Not sure if this is factory option or from the alarm feature p.o. installed. Do you have an aftermarket alarm installed from p.o. too Maybe? Might be that.
