Grey wire mod trail gear harness question Elocker

So I have my elocker installed replacing my standard diff.
I have wired in the trail gear harness that's plug and play and installed the power switch.

My question is if I engage the locker in 2 wheel, 4x4 high or low what is the safe way to do this?

Can one be driving it at any speed to engage it?

Can you Disengage at anytime?

Or do you Engage and disengage only when stopped?

Is it safe at higher speeds or just low speeds at 5mph?

 

I won't even ask why you would ever consider using your locker at 'higher speeds'

 

Just learning about what I can or cannot do.
This is a new mod for me.
Why do people do the grey wire mod then?

 

People do the grey wire mod to be able to engage the elock on 2wd. If not, the elock can only be engaged in 4L.

You're running an aftermarket harness, grey wire mod DON'T APPLY to you

 

Yeah think that was mentioned in his other thread. But you're right, grey wire only applies to factory wiring.

 

@1997tacomav6 can you send a link to the TG harness you went with I am about to do the same swap.
I was going to use the original harness from the donor truck but I don't have the time to mess with it.

 

It’s sooo easy, I brought the cable in through the passage side front fire wall
Positive and negative wire and plug in switch and go
