On my 2016 AC OR 4x4, when I changed the front grill to the SR I've noticed less wind resistance at cruising speeds. I was wondering what everyone else's experiences have been and input on changing to the Pro grill.

We're talking the aerodynamics of a brick here...

In what manner did you notice less "wind resistance"?

how did you find the lower resistance? Did you put it in a wind tunnel?
Is it as aerodynamic as a F1 car now?

    Its a truck, seriously lol.

Please provide the statistical regression test and the raw data from wind tunnel testing or GTFO.

I want my regression test. We've kicked enough people out of their own threads to be able to list it on our resumes.

I are not an idiot (usually). Again, I refer to statistics. Everyone falls on some point of the bell curve. It does seem that a lot of threads in the third gen forum fall to the far, far left on the curve.

theres a lot of people switching over to their first trucks or even first toyotas with this new gen so I think that should be expected

Yep... Bell curves assume a normal distribution where mean = median.

Meanwhile, in the real world things are often different and the mean and median may be far apart

I don't know that I buy that explanation... Is there any real change in how many people switch to / buy their first trucks on a year by year basis? Is there something about 3rd gen that makes it more attractive to non-truck owners than the 2nd gen had been?

no but this is a totally different styling and I've read more than enough threads about people who just got their first toyota etc as well as the fact that I know a couple friends also considering the 2016 for their first truck. Idk was just my opinion, doesn't really matter.

I can't speak to air resistance, but I've heard swapping in a Pro Grille leads to better erections.

I put a mesh grille in my 1970 Chevy bread van, and I noticed an improvement immediately!
