Basically there are a few of you who were in a group that GC didn't give to FedEx until the 2nd... Some of those in the eastern US are still in transit but they all show for delivery today or tomorrow...

I moved mine. I found the location after I did a search on Toyota Nation. Basically they are bolted to the radiator support bolts IIRC. I just lengthened the wires on the horns and did not disturb the temp/compass thinger. They sound much the same the best I can tell. It seems to hide them real well. I put some pics in this thread of the finished product.

I think the search was something like "move horns."

I moved my horns. I didn't lengthen the wire or anything. first, unplug the horns and unbolt them. the wiring harness is held in place by a couple of plastic clips, just pop them out and carefully pull the wiring through the radiator support and back into the engine bay. From there I carefully separated the wiring for the temp guage from the horn wires. I routed the temp sensor back to its factory spot. Then route your horns to the open, already threaded holes to the rear of the battery. the bolts match the thread pattern and it works out well. Check out page 20 of this thread, I posted pictures of the horns new locations.
Good luck with your install, just take your time and it'll come out great.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    ganked my picture....

I've found my temp sensor is about 3-5 degrees warmer with it back there. Been modding too many other things to move that. I just feel it outside and know whether I like the temp or not.

Anyone besides me having trouble mounting the grille craft. I drilled the holes but now I cant get to the screws to tighten them. Any pics or advie will be helpful. I looked at the install on their web site but it does not help at all.

They seem louder to me in the cab, simply because i'm closer to them. However, i've honked at people a few times since i've moved them and they still seem to notice it just fine lol.

but tone wise do they sound like they should be in a geo tracker or like they used to be.

tone should not change what so ever. only thing affected by moving them would be volume. Only way to change the tone would be through resonance or air constriction. Lots of open space in the engine bay!

Finally got my upper installed today:

    After:

Painted everything behind the grille black, installed the grillcraft with a silver surround, relocated the horns, de-badged, de-striped, installed black door protectors, and gave it a bath.....its been a busy day. Now I just gotta do the bhlm or buy some aftermarket black ones and paint the badges black and put them back on. Still debating on whether or not to install the lower grille or sell it to somebody else....seems like it will be a pain to install.
