Hey, Why even put TOYOTA on the front grill? It looks nice the way it is. If anything, the only emblem I would put in the front would be a TRD!

Well, since I started this post, I will reply. Please see the pic below. My truck is originally an SR5 model not a TRD model. I never have liked the TRD or how its pronounced on any of my TOYOTA trucks. Just my 02 cents worth.

The reason i'm doing it: plain and simple, I think it looks damn sharp. I wouldnt be surprised if Toyota comes out with a new line Tacoma with the TOYOTA emblem on the front

I agree. A couple of years ago, they had a painted version of TOYOTA on the grill of one of their concept Tacomas.

 

The sun shows both grills a little better in this pic. I used two stainless steel screws with washers and nyloc nuts behind the grill. I also used double sided 3m tape behind TOYOTA badging, this helped alot when I was measuring and centering the TOYOTA badging. For what its worth.

Did you install the lower grillcraft yet?

 

Not yet. It should be here on Wednesday. Have you done the horn relocate, yet?

 

Not yet. The lower grill is not bad, ya just cut out the stock material, mark and drill your screw holes. I used a small socket to hand tighten the screw into the abs and into the fastener. Takes awhile but very doable.

Does the Grillcraft mount over the existing grill or do you need to cut out the existing grill? I can't tell by the photos.

 

You really need to cut out the existing grill for it to look right. This is easily done with a sawsall. Both upper and lower if you decide to install both grills. I like the ole school look and much more protection from road debris for your cooling system vs stock set up.
