Is the groupbuy being shipped in to Canada or is somebody going to be going across to pick it up?

when the delivery company stops by for delivery they will tell you what the brokerage fees were on the item. you have to pay the delivery guy or he wont release the item (obviously :) ).

it all depends on what company is handling the shipping. some are more expensive then others

btw if you pay with cash, have change with you. the drivers do not make change for you

In my experience with ordering things internationally, UPS is the worst for brokerage and duty fees.

I always try to get the USPS option. But sometimes it costs more overall just for weight/shipping size with them.

I have found USPS to be the best as far as brokerage goes. I have had a lot less hassles (read: costs) when using them to bring stuff across.

I ordered a grill from Custom Car Grills with the following invoice:
    Order Total : $49.99
    Shipping : $23.50
    Handling : $2.50
    Grand Total : $75.99
It was sent via USPS and Canada Post. It was delivered earlier this week w/ no further charges.
