Grille Compatibility

So I found an aftermarket front grille that I want to get for a satoshi grille build but it says its only compatible for 95-97 base 2 door tacomas, I have a 96 SR5. I don't see why the grilles would be different but want to make sure it'll work before I spend the money on it. Any input would help. I'll attach the link below. Thanks for the input guys.

IIRC the 4x4 and 2wd have different grille and headlights from 95-97
but I might be wrong. someone can confirm...

 

It will fit fine it means 95 through 97. On 95 through 97 trucks you can even use the 2wd grille.

It was a half year change, 97 was the tipping point for a lot of things. Half way through 97 the 4cyl trucks got coil pack ignition and a new ECU as well as that front end refresh and a couple interior modifications to the radio and climate control area.

Maybe the listing says it fits base models only because it is paintable and not chrome? As far as I know they all fit the same way for that style of grill.
