When I was finding one for my MGM. I phoned the dealer and they said that it only came as a whole piece. So unless someone hacked one up they no longer need or is selling it, that's the only way you're going to get one.

Yup.

Colormatched are around $200 from the typical online sources (Camelback, Dallas, Titus-Will).
It is a complete grille, plug and play.
The shell and backing are thermally bonded by the little tabs. Homertaco seems to be able to separate and reattach them, but I ended up using ABS cement.
