I've been looking around for a better looking grille for my Sport. I came across this one and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it and how well it looks and holds up. It's powder coated steel with stainless steel fasteners around the front. I like the aggressive look and the price is great, about $200. Just can't justify the high price tag of some of the others for sale.

A lot of grill threads out there. Without knowing the specific model or brand, can't tell you much. Try searching the other threads in this forum. Some aftermarket grills are not a good fit and crack the outter painted trim piece when very cold or hot due to expansion/contraction. Caution.

    Can't justify $600! I think that's what I saw them going for...screw that.

Yea, I was excited and posted before searching...
But, I'm not sure I'd have to worry about the grille plastic trim cracking as it looks like this particular grille does away with that piece.

I like the chrome cheese grater that I paid 33g's for. In all seriousness, I do like the stock TRD grills and yes, I do know I am in the minority :crapstorm:

Probably more than you're looking to spend, but check out DB Customz. And, they give a military discount, so that makes 'em Aces in my book!

SR/SR-5 grilles can be had for $100-150

I've seen some nice painted TRD OR/Sport grilles where the horizontal bars were left as-is, but the rest of the mesh was painted black....looked nice! Swiped this from another thread.

this is my favorite of all I've seen. Tones down the bling just enough. Might be cool to see the mesh black and the chrome painted with the "black chrome" paint.

    Nothing worthy
Since I bought my truck when it was 1st released the only option to take the braces off was https://www.customcargrills.com and cheapest
I went that route and still like the grille. I did my own thing with the letters and had a custom piece made I designed to hold the "TOYOTA" emblem in place. I like it cause no one will have it. The number of PRO grilles to regular grilles in town now is 70/30
