I’m looking for a new grille for my truck. I’m starting the process of getting rid of the chrome pieces and this will probably be my second step after debadging the truck.

I’ll attach a picture of my current setup below. Let me know what you guys think would look best!

Color match surround and oem grill. Pro grills and faux pro grills were unique back in 2016/2017 when very few people had them. Now everyone and their grandma has one.

If you can’t stand oem I suggest getting a hold of someone like @HomerTaco and get a custom.

Yup, exactly why I went from Pro back to OEM. It seemed OEM became more unique lol.

OP, here’s the thread on HomerTaco’s options for 2012-2015: https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/homertaco.128/
However, he put a pause on making grilles due to his father passing away unfortunately: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/toywerx-05-11-made-to-order-satoshi-grills.171169/page-292

Dang, I'm always behind. Just bought the TRD Pro using Toyota's 20% off to swap out for my OEM. I shall keep them both :D:anonymous:

Pro grills still look great. Anything Tacoma is not unique these days as so many people own Tacomas and a large % of them actually modify their trucks.

I put TRD Pro “Sema” wheels on my 4Runner and the guy at discount tire was like, I knew these are what you were going to put in even before opening the boxes… Ya b*tch cause they look good!

I kept my oem one too and had plans to change it back last summer but never got around to it. They do look great though especially on the 2.5 gens. Was the second mod I did to my truck when I bought it back in 2017. Suspension was first on the agenda.

In my area you could drive around for weeks and not see one back then. Now 8 out of 10 tacomas have the same grill in my area and you’ll see a dozen of them a day.

Did anyone replace the weather stripping between the grill and hood? I got a trd style grill and my rubber strip is cracked and faded.

I ordered from Taco Vinyl but I’ve had a lot of trouble getting ahold of them and getting my grille shipped.
