Thank you for keeping this thread alive while the rest of us are slacking!

 

I've been trying a grilled from frozen steak. Not the best pic quality...but it works. Ive only tried ny strip...

 

Did some smoked pork chops the other night. I prefer the thick center cut ones.

I did, I think it might be one of the signs of a forthcoming apocalypse.

 

Eh.. if everyone just stayed at home and worked in their grilling skills all will be fine!

 

Think I'm going to smoke some wings for dinner tomorrow if I can find some that aren't frozen and a decent size. Not sure what I want to coat them in yet though.

 

If you smoke them, toss them on the grill at the end to crisp up the skin.

The last wings I made, I also made a homemade Chimichuri Sauce for them.

 

Ya I usually get the temp up for the last while to get them crisper. Not sure they are going to happen though. I can't find any that aren't frozen and don't have time to thaw them out.

Ziplock bag and cold water in the sink should thaw them in about an hour.

 

Last time I did that, they didn't all thaw. Caused me cooking issues. I may pick up a bag tonight and do them either Sunday or maybe next week.

 

Air fryer

 

I've been doing them in large batches (we have some family coming over tonight). So air fryer would take me forever. Not to mention for some reason every time I've done some in there they never come out crispy. What I really need is my old deep fryer lol.

Heck ya, would love that. If I can ever build my outdoor kitchen I may get a commercial deep fryer for out there (you can get some decent deals on used ones).

 

You all need to try Sake Wings for crispy AF wings....
