You can see how well it’s seasoned from smoking low and slow in it. No rust and no jagged metal burrs in sight. It’s perfect.

 

I'll keep feeding myself, my family, and my guests from grill grates that get cleaned regularly.

The tetanus bit was sarcasm, but one wouldn't need rust or metal burrs to get it either.... hahaha.

Camping and out of range to upload pictures but...

Rock Lobsters' new summer campfire breakfast roll:

On the grill, start a standard jalapeno popper. You know the one. Open jalapeno, filled with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon. Grill 15 minutes.

While that's going...

On the skillet make a plain, 2 egg omelette. Salt to taste. When the omelette is ready, lightly top it with shredded Mexican melting cheese (white cheese, acts as adhesive) and then roll one jalapeno popper right into that omelette.

Eat as is, or top with salsa. Your choice. It was an instant hit at the local camper.

Grilled up a burger for me and the kid.

Then covered it in cheese so you can't see it.

...^^^... It looks like you now have a cool outside "food factory" .... and in a nice format too ...

FWIW ... I do 99% of my cooking in an outside covered patio. It keeps the food smells outside (especially stinky Asian fish).

I use a regular grill, a Camp Chef 3 burner cooktop (from Costco), a Blackstone, and a air fryer and those items can cook almost anything.

I am still a "novice cook" and learning from the pros here all the time.

The wife does NOT like to cook outside in cold weather ... but the super stinky fish is always cooked outside (rain or shine).

PS ... About the only cooking smell I like in the house is cookie or bread baking.

The problem with our house is ... it is very open and the smells go everywhere, especially upstairs to the bedrooms where the smells stay forever.

 

That sounds like a sweet set up to be outside!
