I personally have no luck grilling or smoking chicken. No idea why. I've got frying it pretty down pat, but I suck at anything else

Although the other day I marinated some thighs in Italian dressing and threw them on the charcoal. That turned out extremely well...

drove past a grocery and meat market today and saw a sign advertising T-Bone for $5.99/Ib. Had to stop and try it. (Our typical prices here at my regular grocery's butcher is about $12 to $15/lb)
This one was just over a pound, about $7.50 total.

Yes, cheese, onion and tomato. It's a very typical South African side to go with grilled meal.

Interesting, I will be trying this.

Edit: as someone who enjoys food, I love the idea of a sandwich as a side.

On my vegetarian days, that sandwich with chips or grilled potato wedges would be a meal. Last weekend when I first saw this, I had just grilled a piece of bread on the with some garlic along with what I was grilling. Definitely a nice unique grill taste.

I’m about it. Most of that char looks fantastic, others need some FAAFO love. It’s not you, I know space is limited.

I’d eat as long as you kept feeding me :D

It's true, I rotated them around a bit after that shot but as always was in a hurry so they didn't get the perfect love. They got chopped up so hopefully the char flavors mingle!

Boy, that’s good eating. You can’t go wrong with adobo and lime.

Even if you aren’t in a hurry, every grill has its downfalls. Batch cooking on my Weber takes forever because I avoid the cool spots. With a half grate full of protein, it’s unavoidable that some of it will cook differently. Same camp, different tents.

Again, I’d eat every bit of that… if it ain’t raw
