Why the regrets? I'm just wondering because I have not installed a new grill yet, so I just wanted to know if there are any negatives to having a mesh grill.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Oops... looks like I mis-spoke... sometimes I've regretted getting the billet grill (in my sig) because I like the Grillcraft mesh grills too -- it depends on my mood really.

There aren't any negatives to either grill in my opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The T-rex is stainless steel mesh and the Grill-Craft is regular steel mesh. Is this right?

don't know for sure, but always assumed the T-Rex was aluminum.

Well I can tell you that the grillcraft is steel mesh, it is strong as hell as for the other I have no idea.

Here's mine after I painted it. T-rex is made of aluminum. I also agree with Delmarva, I some times wish I had the grillcraft mesh grill but I still like mine!;) Grillcrafts are kind of pricey to and they don't come in a 5-piece like the t-rex.

Does the Grillcraft seem to be strong, ridgid. Any problem with flexing? Is the powdercoat finnish holding up?

I bought the T-Rex grill. I havent gotten around to installing the bumper and hoodscoop inserts, but here's the main part. .. It's a very solid grill powdercoated in black :)

Yeah and word of advise for you. Don't take the scoop apart! Just use bigger screws that will catch the stock scoop grill.
