    These are the billet grilles I'm interested in. notice how they don't have the shell? That's how these are supposed to be installed right?

    Are you referring to the satoshi?? That style needs the "shell"(im guessing you mean the outter part of the grille) so there is somewhere for the mesh to fasten to. A satoshi and a billet style setup are quite different really.. but as per that billet style you posted in that pic, yes that is how they are supposed to be installed since its an over the counter grille not a diy project like the satoshi. Hopefully I answered your question, wasnt really sure what you were asking exactly so i covered both sides lol.
