Grinding/ low speed

    2015 Tacoma double cab TRD Off-road
    As I was headed home from a buddies house tonight when i got in my truck to leave I put my truck in drive, took the park brake off (he lives on a hill) and as I started to pull forward my truck felt like it was in 4 low. When I started to come to a stop to figure out what was going on it made a few clunking/ grinding noises then acted totally normal. Any ideas what this could be?

    I do live in Utah. It has been real cold the last week or so though. Still would hope it’s that over something transmission or t case related...
