So I had a shop install a new steering rack last week. I had an alignment a few days later. All in all it was a good fix. It cured a vibration I had at 45-50. I noticed there is this grinding noise at slower speeds and when I make a left or right turn. The sound isn’t always there but a lot of the time. This noise was not present prior to the rack replacement. Any ideas what it could be? I’m having the shop that did the work look at it tomorrow.

Air in the system? Take it back to the shop that installed it..have them remedy it.. its only been a week..should perform like new, no noise

They could have bent the dust shields near the rotors while working In that area. Pretty common and easy to fix. Just pull back the dust shields and make sure there clear and not touching.

Front and Rear Locked, 35’s, Chevy 63” swap, Fox Suspension and a bunch of other shit too long to list.
If it’s when your turning or putting a little load on the tires going around a sweeping corner and it making a tisk tisk noise or sounds like there’s a rock in the brakes it’s probably a bent dust shield. Take the tire off and make sure it’s not too close to the rotors. They are pretty easy to bend.
