Grinding noise coming from front end

Hey everyone I have a 08 Tacoma 4x4 I have a grinding sound coming from the front end. It comes and goes. It will do it straight or turning. It sounds like when u drive over the rumble strip on the interstate. It doesn't do it all the time. My wheel Barrens seem fine. My cv axle has a little play were I can push it in and out were it goes in the transfer not sure if that would make that grinding
