Hey guys, heard a strange grinding type noise coming from taco while sitting inside it at idle my Today. Don’t know if it’s the first time it’s happened but it’s the first time I’ve noticed it. Truck has less than 2k miles. For those of you with more 3rd gen owner experience then I, is this normal? Don’t want to complain to dealer if it’s normal. I took a vid of it. Sorry for cell phone quality.

If your exhaust is not loose or cracked then it could be your rear diff.

    I'd say take it in.

I do have a Toyota chrome exhaust tip, the clamp in kind, ill double check that. It def sounded it was near the rear driver side area though.

Mine was making a weird noise as well at all times.

Turned out to be the bearings in my rear diff and Toyota took care of it.

I just checked the exhaust tip, which was super loose, guessing it has to be that. I’ll tighten it up and will post up results tomorrow.
