Gents. I recently noticed that while backing up on any incline, when I stop and put it in drive, my truck makes a horrific grinding noise. Thinking it's the transmission. Also, the slip indicator flashes which is weird. It has happened 3 times. I am sure that I am coming to a complete stop before putting it in drive. I will be taking it to the dealership on my next day off. Wondering if anyone has experienced this? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I don't have any noises at all at 3800 miles ... plenty of shifting ... hopefully it is something minor .... good luck.

It's your brakes activating from the hill assist feature which, as you've found out doesn't always work so well. It's not your transmission, please change your thread title.

Woo Hoo .... problem solved ....... Hill Assist Control ..... Ok, after work, I will go find me a hill and give it a try ...... good thing I read this on the forum, because I am SURE that I would have thought that the gears would be grinding as well.
