i get a very quick grinding noise when i hit a road bump too fast and when i go off roading and turn... it sounds like a metal gear grinding out and its very rare i hear it. anyone else hear it. sounds like its coming from the engine bay

Check your u-joints for grease?? A lot of trucks were shipped out without lube in the u-joints. You can of course take the truck to the dealer and ask to have them check the u-joints AND lube them. My dealer ignored me when I asked them to change my oil and do a lube for the first 5K service. So be aware of that issue... I have talked with Toyota Care to get this squared up so you may have better luck with your local dealer than I did. It could of course be something else as well.

I'd have it looked at and tell them about the lube deal and check for something else - could also be ture rub if you changed to larger tires.

Could be your trac control stopping a rear tire from spinning.... Thy this.... go to the same corner and try to replicate it.. if you can... then try it with Trac off and anti skid off... bet that's the culprit.... If so... that's supposed to do that.. no worries.
