grinding type noise

I have a 2012 tacoma and have re ently put a pro comp2.25 leveling kit on it .I have gotten the front end realigned and put new tires on it as well but now between 35-45mph i feel (not hear) and grinding or something close to it while driving but onlybetween tbise speeds then it goes away and it doesnt happen all the time does anyone have any ideas as what it could beas i took it to a local reputable 4/wd specialist and he said not to worry about it...should or or not im soon traveling to NC from Pa

 

Does it go away in 4WD ?

 

When you hear/feel this grinding, switch your vehicle in to 4 hi and see if it goes away. If it does, look here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...nt-differential-bearing-vibration-thread.html . If the noise continues even in 4 hi, then 2 other things come to mind, either a wheel bearing or the center support bearing. From your description of your lift, I would rule out the support bearing.

 

yea it goes into 4wd. Found out it was the differential carrier assembly after taking it to the dealership. They fixed it under warranty..

 

Go and get you that ecgs bushing while your parts are still new
