Dang, I sure miss a power seat like my wife has in her much less expensive Toyota Camry. Sheesh...30+ large and a manual seat. Grrrrrr.

Also, while there is plenty of headroom and legroom (I am about 6' 1-1/2"), the door opening is pretty short, forcing me to bend like a pretzel to get into the cab. Tis a minor annoyance, but, still...

Oh, and the danged 600-pound no-assist front hood. What were they thinking?

600lb hood? I used to be stronger than I thought. This easy open Subaru hood gots me being lazy. I need to add some weights to it.

On a serious note, they do make aftermarket struts for the hood, I'll try to find the link.

They're called Redline Quicklift struts and I don't know if they're available for the third gens yet, but you could always check it out.

Didn't you test drive, and check the options before purchase?

I didn't see an option for a power seat, a larger door, and an assisted front hood. I can understand the door, but, really, the other two items in an expensive trucklike vehicle?

Yes, I found the struts...now all I need to find is a competent installer person, since I have no plans to drill holes or otherwise munge up my new truck. :)

A Honda Ridgeline is a truck like vehicle. A Tacoma is a mid-size truck. It seems you should have purchased a 45k+ f150

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
I think their half assed point was that if you test drove it you should see problems and not buy that vehicle.
Half assed because the truth is in 5- 10 minutes of the test drive it is very hard to pickup absolutely everything, and many things will annoy after some period of time.

The Tacoma is the same as the Ridgeline? The Ridgeline is the same as the Ridgline? Or the F150 is the same as the Ridgeline? What is it?

Turd gen is the same as a Ridgeline. Both are truck-like vehicles.

Well considering I have both in my driveway... they aren't comparable! But to each his own. I forgot my ridgeline had a body on frame design:playball:

    A few things
it's a sad day in pickup history, a grown man complaining he has to lift his own hood.
