I recently installed the supreme suspension 3" lift and also got the front end aligned in my 2013 tacoma.

I notice a groaning noise from the front left hand side at lower speeds. But only when the truck has been sitting. Seems to go away after roughly a mile or two. Since then I have installed the Diff drop but it did not help.

If it was CV joint wouldn't it make more noise turning and also not go away??

Could it be a wheel bearing?

    Any experience this?

If there's a backing plate behind the rotor, they might have bent it and it's rubbing against the rotor, perhaps?

or a wheel bearing. or the CV axle binding.

my vote is on needle bearing....

if it goes away in 4x4 (cruising in a straight line flip it to 4x4) then it for sure is the needle bearing. Replace with ECGS bushing and call it good, also remove the diff drop.

Cool I will test that tonight!! @nd4spdbh....Have installed the bushing in your truck? I like the logic of removing the slop and making The tolerance smaller

yup. Instantly noticed the groaning sound on my truck after my 2in lift. Immediatly went away in 4hi. Made a puller tool, pulled out the original needle bearing, and pressed in the bushing to the proper depth as its longer, no more groaning.

I did the OME 887's (roughly 3" lift) and started getting the grinding/pulsing vibration up front. Toyota dealer diagnosed it as the Needle Bearing. Replaced it under Toyota TSB/Warranty. That doesn't always permanently fix it though!

ECGS bushing is not a bad idea. I eventually did ECGS Gears & ARB Air Lockers - thus eliminating the faulty Toyota Needle Bearing. All is well!

The Needle Bearing issue can also be speed sensitive (I think like 30-45mph).

Dang, I was ready to read up on this "3' lift" and disappointed with just a cheap shitty 3" spacer.
