Ground Wire Issues.

    Okay everyone, what I've decided to do is this.... First, I plan to get under the vehicle to see what it is that I exactly have and then I'm going to attempt clean the ground terminals attached to the engine block with a scrub brush and vinegar.

    Secondly, if that doesn't work, I will then attempt to effect repairs, seeing how I've already bought a 4 gauge, 49 inch cable for the negative ground that's attached to the engine block. If whatever I find deems necessary, I will also replace the positive cable as well.

    Finally, if neither one of the cables appear to be damaged or corroded, what I will do then, is check the tension of the alternator belt, before checking the condition of the alternator.

    While doing all of this, I may even decide to take pictures of what I'm doing, given that someone else is bound to run into this problem at some point in the future. We will have to see how it goes.

    It is quite easy to measure the length of the cables it does not hurt to be a few inches to long
