I routed my intake into my exhaust through my bed and mounted it there.

On a serious note: It is quite common to add after market grounds all over the motor and TBs to make them perform better. I've seen this on a couple forums.

WIN for OP, but I'm not doing it.

Find one that eliminates the motor tick...that one would be a winner.

oh man, thats great! I bet I can tie that into my electric turbo setup and mount that in the bed too and just route the throttle into the cab so when I need a little extra boost i just pull the cable on that and step on the skinny! :burnrubber:

you should look into the manual supercharger, much more efficient and doesn't draw from your battery. kit comes with a 6 foot length of garden hose that routes into the throttle body. when you need some extra boost, just blow into the hose. i hear those real talkative girls can push 10.9 psi

Oh, well that makes perfect sense.

I say 10 minutes of your time actually working on your truck is better than 10 minutes of your time shooting down someone else's effort to try something new with pointless jokes, but that's all a matter of opinion I guess.

Maybe by changing the resistance to ground, the position of the butterfly stepper motor changes slightly.

If this is the case, the airflow rate would change, which would cause the computer to adjust many different aspects of how the engine runs, and when the transmission shifts.

Kinda like the change that would be seen immediately after adding a cold air intake.

In the amount of time you've spent on this thread, you could have done the mod about 9 times. That means you'd even have enough time to try it, drive your truck, take it off, get on the forum and write what you thought (sort of like I did.)

The resistance to ground at the throttle body is 340,000 ohms. Nobody said this mod was going to increase horsepower, or do anything. But it WILL improve the ground to the TB, and the more people that try it, the more likely we'd be able to come to a conclusion as to wether or not it's doing what we THINK it is. I don't know man, I would think that 10 minutes spent on that is more valuable than a few days of pointless jokes about it. That's all, DGAF at this point.

if the one for the tick works.. then why did anyone do it then, yeah to get rid of the tick.

If this one quickens the TB response, people will do it. In theory it works..go find your own mod
