So do you think 80 mil is still too loud for comfort? Is there enough space to fit more in there?

    Check out the following: https://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/products

CLD type products, ex. Dynamat, Noico, etc...only control resonance of panels. Given the ribbing, sections of double layered metal, and cross bars, the back wall of our trucks is already pretty resistant to noise via resonance. What you are looking for is something to absorb and kill the noise from traveling through the air; mass loaded vinyl and foam is a more effective way to do that. Look into that before throwing more CLD at it.

EDIT: Sorry Doc if this is clogging up your thread.

Made a post in Gen 3 Tacoma’s asking about mounting & sound dampening ideas. No responses on that post. I’m sure there is some indie buried in the 113 pages in this post.
Anyone have any ideas they can share either here or in my post on Gen 3?

    Thanks!

Nice job, I'm doing the same for my dog, What did you use for the flooring? Is that your seats folded forward? I was thinking of ditching all factory stuff and building custom floor etc.

    Thank you.
The bottom is just my 2006 rear access cab seats folded forward.
I like being able to lift the passenger side up so my dog doesnt have to jump as high getting in, and more important, i repeat that when he gets out. Its less of a drop, maybe not much, but i try to make it easier on him.

Excellent point about the lower drop height. Cool to have viewpoint of dog owner, I have the same access cab fold downs.
Thanks, I’ll post up some pics with my setup.

not sure how I missed this.
I think theres room for improvement.
    Im looking into that MLV

Keep in mind, headers, urd ypipe, 3" exhaust with a super44. Its louder than stock yes... but before I removed the seatback it was quieter me thinks.
If u have mild exhaust or just worry about road noise, it may be just fine.

Mine had split the side wide open and was hanging out a good bit. Their packaging left some to be desired for sure

Wasn’t complaining about the OP. Just commenting on UPS. The packaging was intact. They were obviously just not careful with it.

I will say that @docloco PMd me right away offering to take care of it even though I’m not looking for anything.

I know. Op doesn't ship them, the machine shop in Vegas does. My point was, ups wasn't careful, I'm sure it was sealed when it left the facility, but in transit the box didn't survive so well

I’ll be dealing with them in the morning. Clearly unacceptable.
