This looks like the answer to the question in my mind... I'm gonna have to look for similar for my SOCOM16

Piece of steel and some mounting hardware should be the trick to secure it. As long as the sound deadening material arrives in time I will hopefully have it mocked up and mounted this weekend.

If y all don't have a subwoofer then there's tons of room.

I just looked at their website... nothing for my gun, but if I can't find similar I think I can fab something up.

    Thanks for the idea!

To be honest, I wouldn't mount an ar in my truck, thieves and what not, id much prefer a shotgun or a sbr of sorts. Lol. Just a mockup for hunting season, or range day, mostly going to use it to carry gear and a dedicated first aid, as this truck is a dedicated adventure vehicle.

Yes. I also am not planning on lugging it around on a daily basis, but I would like to be able to 'snap' it in and out easily if I want. My other thought is a hinge at the bottom of my panel, some dzus fittings at the top and stow the rifle low -behind- the panel if there is enough room. I may also go this route just to mount thin bags on the 'back' of the panel, flip/flop and increase the storage

I have gone back and forth regarding keeping an ar in the truck. I already have a handgun that is kept in the console vault 24/7, and as long as I am confident that the ar can be secured in a method that is as secure as any police officers vehicle, I will.

The list is being compiled now. Once it hits 15, I will start collecting money and talking order specifics. The OP is always kept current.

Where did you get those full length storage covers? It's an AC right?

You are correct this is a 2010 Access Cab, I got the covers from a wrecked 2006 AC I found in a junkyard.

All the dumb choices in one vehicle
Extra battery in the cab? I'd be worried about off-gassing.

I know it can be done with or without the molle panel be in there. I’ve seen it done with the stock plastic storage containers
