For those of you who have installed the Molly rack in a third generation Tacoma already, how much room is there between the rack and the back cab wall?
I'm considering mounting a kicker key amp and a audio control unit between the two. The Kicker key amp is about 3 in tall and the audio control LC7i unit is about 1 and 1/2 in tall.

It'll be tight but possibly doable. The access cab version has some flexibility with the bottom mounts. I think the double cab version has more mounting holes so the pannel won't necessarily be as "flexible" if you're wanting to mount stuff behind it.

I got one of these panels for my 2nd gen DC second hand from a local. I was on the fence about it initially but when I saw one pop up locally I jumped on it. I must say these are made very well and made my storage back there 1000x better. Nice job with these @docloco. If you're on the fence for one of these, 100% do it!

I did 1/4" dynamat. I did need the longer M8x 1.25 screws from BelMetric to reinstall the seat latches over the 1/4" dynamat. There was 1/2" Dynamat but I thought that might be too thick? The sheet of 1/4" Dynmat that I cut did drop down behind the sub/amp enclosure, which is the same thing the blue OEM sheet did. This was the best reason to use 1/4" instead of 1/2" Dynamat.

What are other power window + sub owners doing to recover their sub and amp enclosure? My options so far include cutting the lower half off the OEM panel, or recreating the lower panel in either wood or a custom mold...

@MESO This is screaming for some of your custom work. I don't like any of my options so far...

@MESO I will ship you my OEM panel if you were to get inspired to create a replacement of the lower? Happy to pay retail for your work... Not a huge market, I understand, just sayin!

Anyone carpeted over their sound deadening? Wanting a clean OEM-ish look and didn't know if anyone had a recommendation of carpet to put back there.

Awesome! Not only did I put you on the list, but you're #15, so I can get this group buy rolling. PM's will be sent to everyone on the list for payment and order specifics.
