I kindly thanked the vendor for the group buy, wished him success in his business venture, gave him a thumbs up on the lights I gave him my hard earned money for, and suggested another product I'd love to see (and be willing to buy).

Viper, whatever u posted above . . . . . it was A LOT . . . . . im sure u know what you are talkin about BUT . . . . . . . based on what my TW peoples have said and what i currently can see on my truck and personally use, i "so far" am very impressed with these lights no matter what numbers and statistics u come up with, none of them matter to me because i know no different!

thanx for the lights adv. dont feed the trolls they wont go away if you do..

i am also wanting to mount behind my grillcraft grill (when it gets here). any thoughts on that install location. think it should be good, just want to know who else has put these there, thanx

 

if you are mounting directly on the grille, the material is plastic and may cause vibrations and shakes off road.

If you want to mount behind the grille, you should tie it into the radiator support somehow. The light is small

I made a mount for my lights behind the grill it might work for you too. Buy a piece of 4' angled aluminum from Home Depot and cut a 28" length plus two more pieces to get the LEDs to the desired height.. just a thought

 

Which of the 3 wires is the high beam on the oem plug that I need to splice into for the dimmer?

it probably did but im impatient and i went and got paint and had them took apart and painted all within about an hour and a half! haha but def a good idea u came up with

 

here's what I did to mount the model 60's behind the grill w/ the hellas.

 

Show is the lights lit up? How bad does the grill disperse the light?

 

didn't take any pics last night, kinda forgot. The hellas are HID converted and you wouldn't even know they're behind the grill it's super bright. I've seen Aaron's first hand so I expect the LEDs to blast thru no prob.

Got the fog lights mounted but NOT hooked up... opinions or suggestions?

 

mount them higher. Mine are about that level but the light gets cut off/blocked when wheeling in uneven terrain. Higher = better
