on the 2020 trd offroads there are 2 screw holes for the oem camera bracket under the tss/emblem, not sure if that's the same for other models.



i bought this bracket for the front camera from taco garage:

 

I'll have to look for those holes.

Logo and grill are stock, except for the camera. Camera is stilling flush @erksbirds

 

i haven't got my anytime kit yet, supposed to be here monday. when i get the camera with the bracket installed i'll post a pic...

 

Can you take some pictures of where your wires are connected?

 

Also, when you got your kit, the wire bundle with the yellow video adapters, did you unplug any of them, or leave it exactly as is?

 

Hate I missed out on this any thoughts about running another GB?

Just got my kit with premium camera. Very quick shipping. My only question is where do I put the switch as I have no small blanks spaces only the larger switch space. Wondering if I should unplug the wireless charging use that spot? Any help would be appreciated!

 

Got my kit today. Need to come with a way to mount the camera. The shank on the camera is not long enough for the depth of the grille. If it was only 1/2” longer.

 

I ran into the same problem. I bought the bracket from Yotaleds and thought I was home free. Guess I need to make a trip to Home Depot to look for one of those nuts. If the shank on the camera was just a little longer that bracket would have worked great.

 

I live in a state where a front plate is required so I mounted it to the license plate holder so I didn’t have to modify the grill at all.. works perfectly

 

That is my plan as I don't use the wireless charging.

 

Thanks for your idea of mounting the front camera. I went to the hardware store and for a 1.89 I pickup up the knob and used a washer just to make the mounting a little more solid.
I probably would have spent days figuring a way to mount the camera if I did not see your post. The pictures was a real help.
Now I just have the rest of it to install.

I tinkered unsuccessfully for about an hour before finding that knob to try.
I was very frustrated that the plate I purchased was essentially no good due to the depth of the grill.
Did you use any thread locker or anything to keep it from backing off? maybe a dab of silicone on the washer, thread locker might be too strong on the camera threads.

 

Yea, I used a small amount of thread locker. I had to be sure I did not tighten it down too much, I was afraid of cracking the grill. I mounted the camera below the emblem. Once I have it wired up I can determine which is the better location for me, above or below the emblem.

Now the fun of installing. Quick question yall, I ordered the standard camera kit, even the packaging label, says so but in my kit it has a premium camera instructions and the camera has a chrome threaded nipple............. Did I bonus out or its just the standard camera
