Absolutely, some even run ball joint UCA's on spidle lifts. According to maxtrac you can use stock control arms?

    Copied from site:
Maxtrac Suspension's lifted spindles are a simple, but extremely effective way of gaining additional clearance in the front of your vehicle for larger wheel and tire setups. By simply replacing your stock spindle which is known to bend under extreme circumstances, you can achieve an additional 4", while using the stock control arms and coilovers. Maxtrac's spindles are made from Ductile Iron, and are designed to be 100% bolt on, with extreme durability. You may utilize the stock sway bar with these spindles, along with the factory ABS lines, but extended brake lines are required.

If your leveling you shouldn't need it. Lots of guys here went 2.5 front and still used stock UCA. I'm going back to. 85 +1.6 eibachs and I plan to run stock UCAS so I hope it works

This is a sensitive topic. Most would agree that under 3" aftermarket UCA's are not needed. If you do run them under 3" either you plan to go higher in the future or you have money to blow. I currently am at 3" with stock UCA's, my caster is off and my truck darts at highway speeds. I would say hold off on the UCA until you put the lift on, and if you absolutely feel the need for them....then get them.

Yep, our (Colorado TW section) long time wheeler and actual Toyota Techie says UCA's are not needed 3" or under, "but it will steer better" with aftermarket UCA's.

So, I am lifting and than wait and see, next tax return for sure will get replacement UCA's

    Ball joint vs uniball.

The LR's are constructed using OEM style ball joints which limit movement and articulation. The LR's still although allow for caster correction and if used mainly on road require less maintenance. If you wheel moderately or hard these may wear out quick.

The built right uca's use a 1" stainless steel uniball allowing for greater articulation. Some uniball uca's are also known to have a wider range of caster correction, few not all. These so require mainenance and checking, usually done after an oil change or harsh offroading. They will last long if cared for.

Edit: even though the new LR's have proven to be solid the old reputation steers me away from them

So is the limit 15 sets or is the 30th of April the end of the group buy. It reads both ways in the original post. Sorry if I am just reading it wrong.

Sorry for the confusion, ideally whichever comes first which is looking like 15 people. It will take 2-3 days to confirm and verify shipping and payment details. More members may join the list during that 2-3 day window.

Will these improve clearance over stock UCA's much? I'm looking to go with 255/80r17 tires on stock sport wheels and was thinking they may hit my stock UCA's. I'd so I'll prob get into the group buy. Thanks

Without details I couldnt say. They may not stick out as far, but without wheel spacers or positive backspacing on your wheels they may still hit. I think you mean 255/75r17? I needed to put 1.25 spacers on my truck to clear the OEM UCA's

    guys,
ordering will start soon. PM's sent to all on the list. It does not hurt to add more members during the ordering window (4-5 days). Detailed instructions for payment, ordering and shipping will be listed in the first post in bold and red on the bottom.
