    I don't know which one you have, but this Dometic is rated at 70W

    At 70W, I would think it is a single compressor and maybe it just has 2 coils and 2 fans (1 set per compartment). So it's pulling more than the 50-60W that is typical of a single zone. If that compressor has to kick on regardless of which side is being cooled, it makes sense that it would run more and/or have to work harder to cool 2 zones to different temperatures. So if it is a higher wattage pull and runs more frequently....I can see why battery life would be less than desirable.

    I know there is a formula for figuring it out, but I'm too lazy to look that up. 500 / 70 is 7.14. Does that mean that you could expect just over 7 hours if the compressor were running constantly?

    Make sure you check your fridge and put it on the DC power always. Number 2 make sure you set it to eco mode. Otherwise it will continually draw power which it does not need to do. I have a cheap fridge freezer and in eco mode it will kick on every 15 or 20 minutes and only run for 3 or 4 minutes. Sounds like your fridge is running way too much to draw that much power.

    Sorry, the group buy is not dead, but the current sale is the same deal. I try not to get on TW when I go on vacation with the family and mostly check it when I am at work. With the long weekend (and the fact that current sale price is the same as the GB price) I didn't log in to check on this thread.

    They are also supposedly doing some good deals in November to celebrate their 8th anniversary. I'll pass along those details as they become known.

    As far as I know, we are still live with the Explorer 500 and 1000 models if anyone has interest.

    Edit: Checked. The codes are no longer live. It appears they have expired.


    That said, there is an anniversary sale coming up next month and the rep told me that she would give an additional amount off for TW members during that sale.

    Since the GB codes no longer work, I have updated the title and the OP. We can do another Group Buy, but will need 10 participants before we are able to get a new code.
