Unfortunately, Jackery will not open up the GB pricing on other units until the minimum number is reached for each unit.

Also, I'm told that the E300 sold out within 18 hours of being released.

I'm going to post up on some Facebook groups to see if we can generate some more interest in the other models. If anyone would like to do the same, please do.

If anyone is interested and not a member of the forum, you can PM me their email address and I'll send them the information. Again, Jackery has asked that we not share the discount code publicly. I have not been given an end date, so I believe this is ongoing and will post any information I receive otherwise.

Quick question, if someone could help me understand this.

    The 240 model says 240Wh (16.8Ah, 14.4V)
    The 500 model says 518Wh (24Ah, 21.6V)

How does the 500 model last twice as long since it's not even close to double the amp hours? I'm guessing voltage comes into play, but can someone give me an "explain like I'm 5" breakdown?

5 year olds normally will accept "Magic" as the answer. Does that work?

I believe it is a different between Wh and Ah. Quick google search got me this:

"What's the difference between an Ah and a Wh? An Amp Hour (Ah) is a measure of charge (measured in "Coulombs") whereas a Watt Hour (Wh) is a measure of energy."

    and this:

"Amp-Hour (Ah) is a unit of measurement that describes accumulated electric charge over time. One (Ah) equals the amount of charge (think electrons) moved by a current of one Amp for one hour. Alternatively, 2 Amps for half an hour, and so on. The advantage of using (Ah) is that it is somewhat independent of the series losses in a battery.

Watt-Hour (Wh) is a unit of measurement that describes accumulated energy. One Watt-Hour (Wh) is the resulting energy from operating at a power of 1 Watt for 1 hour. This can be, for example, 1 Amp at 1 Volt for one hour, or 4 Amps at 0.5 Volts for half an hour, and so on. The Watt is the product of Amps and Volts."

Your electric company charges by the kWh and not the kAh (if there even is such a thing).

I'm not an electrician and electronics/electricity is one of those things where I know just enough to be dangerous. I am not the authority by any means.

    Here's a good EILI5 answer:

"One analogy to think of is pumping water into a balloon or a bladder. (Ah) would be an indication of how much water the balloon holds, regardless of the effort it took to put it into the balloon. (Wh), on the other hand, is a measure of the work it took to pump the water into the balloon, or the work resulting from letting the balloon force that water out. It is a function of the amount of water and the effort it took to put it in."

Haha, gotcha, I was just wondering. I'm tossing around between the 240/500. The 240 is easier on the wallet, but the 500 is cheaper per watt and would be better during a power outage or the like. Still debating....

We currently do not have enough interest in the 240 for a GB price and the 500GB price is lower than originally thought due to a promotion that Amazon decided to run (independently of Jackery). I do not know if the GB price will go back up to the pre-promotional GB price once that promotion runs out. So if I can entice you to go with the 500, it's an additional $20 off right now and we met the numbers for the GB pricing.

So you jumping to the 500 now or sticking to the 240 yourself? Not to derail the thread but what’s the best bang for your buck budget fridge?

I'm not getting the 240 anymore. I personally feel like the ICECO is the best bang for the buck fridge right now. Funny you should ask, cause I'm about to start a thread on that too!

I can back up CowboyTaco on the ICECO statement. My JP50 is a keeper. I posted my initial impression on here a few weeks ago.

$429. Since you're in GA, it'll be shipped to your door for that price.
