Just some food for thought, the Mongoose cable will be invaluable for other maintenance aside from anything related to the S/C.

Accidentally drain your brake fluid reservoir during a brake job or brake fluid flush? Don't have to tow your truck to the dealership anymore. Use the Mongoose cable and Techsteam to actuate the ABS pump to bleed air from the system. Heck, use it to bleed air from the system even if you don't completely drain the reservoir. Makes life a lot easier and cheaper in the long run.

It will also do customizations, such as disabling the seat belt chimes and things like that.

Wait, so you bought the supercharger, then the truck? That's awesome! Let me know if you want in on the list. The more people we get, the better the pricing (up to a point obviously). The guys above make very valid points, this cable will be a valuable asset for much more than installing the TRD flash. Also remember, if you are a Toyota person and have others in your collection, this will work for them as well.

Also @Murphinator there is an excellent write up on here for the TRD install. It was written up a few years back by @SManZ , I believe it is titled 1GR-FE supercharger install or something similar.

Yep that's the one! Thanks, I was too lazy to go searching for it. I also have it bookmarked, along with his other thread about supercharger maintenance. Another good one to tag if you don't already :)

That alone is almost worth it, I hate that darned thing!

As much as I would have loved to supercharge this one I was ready for a double cab [IMG]

Trust me I would love to install it myself however the Toyota dealer said they will not warranty my powertrain if I don't have a Toyota store install it :annoyed:. I'm surprised more people haven't jumped on this, it is truly a very valuable tool to have. Most of my family owns Toyotas and this truck I plan on keeping for a long time so I would love to have this. I'm not sure how everyone else is feeling on the deadline of this but I think if it was still open around tax season hopefully some more people would be on board, myself included. Part of me thinks if this sc install doesn't hurt the wallet too bad I am going to have to jump on the list.

If you have a maybe list definitely put me on that, Come to think of it a lot of our work vehicles are Toyota's too I wonder if I could get the boss man to help pay for it if I use it to work on some of his vehicles:D

I think the general consensus is that people want to wait till end of February to see if any others want to get on board with tax refunds (based on some PMs between those already on the GB). I'll give till end of Feb and if the GB falls apart, so be it. I was planning on ordering the cable either way, just wanted to save a few bucks off MSRP.

I have an email in to tunertools about shipping to hawaii, as I was messaged by a member requesting a quote. So that might be another member to add to the list (he mentioned there might be two interested in HI. :fingerscrossed:

Nah man you can snag it if the GB doesnt pan out. If I dont get one, I dont get one. Not the end of the world and my CC could use a break from Christmas and the SC GB anyway haha.

I still want to get a Mongoose, but I may not need it for supercharger related stuff. Depends on how the AFR sensor calibrator works out.

Yes I am keeping an eye on that. I still need to get my afr gauge installed but may still be having the same issues as others
