Received and installed today: fit, finish, and color-match are all great (both the black to the head unit and the red to the 2015 LEDs).
Quick wiring question- is there any way to retain the dimming function on the lights and also be able to turn them on when the truck is turned off?

Good question. In short, no. The V2W was designed to operate as a dual-power unit: When mounted to the Tacoma, the unit uses dash lighting circuit (variable ground for dimming). An early concern of the V1 (battery-only verision) was killing the batteries if you "forgot" to turn the unit OFF. The V2W was designed to prevent acidental battery death in such cases. The V2W will revert to battery power ONLY when dismounted for use as a 'mini search light' so-to-speak.

If you really want to use the unit with the Tacoma lighting circuit OFF, we might suggest a V1 to augment. We do understand this may not be the best solution. It is however, what we have to offer.

We haven't set an 'absolute' close, but we certainly won't run this offer too long. I think it depends on the demand.

 

Yeah do you have photos of where this mounts, how it looks when the cab isn't dark, etc.
