got the 2 - 2x3 pods in today. only took 3 or 4 days.
look good, won't have time to install till this weekend or next.
not sure why i decided to order these instead of the 2x2, but i like em. they fit well on the truck.
may order a 20'' single row for the lower bumper soon.
    couple crappy cell pics:

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
What's the beam pattern on the 6" pod light? (Flood, I hope...?...).

The 2x2 come in both flood and spot.

The 2x3 are out of stock right now and I am not sure that I will be getting more in stock. We get very few orders for these, especially after people see the 2x2 for less money. I am not saying that these are a bad light but the 2x2 is about the same output in a smaller package. If there is demand, I will certainly get some, but right now I don't see much demand.

    Spot. :(

Well it finally showed up! I was really impatient
Picked up a 30” dual row, combo pattern LED bar. This is part 1 of 2, my initial inspection and findings. Please stay tuned for part 2(Mounting and light throw).

Box was heavier than I expected. After opening and removing the light I realized it didn't have any instructions. Thats ok for me but others may need some assistance figuring out the parts. The light is over 30" long. I will be covering this in part 2

First off the box looked like it was dropped from the condition of the foam inside. The bar didn't take any damage so its packaged well. The brackets and screws were all jammed into the foam. Had to pick them out. It was dropped hard enough to rip the little ziplock bag open and spill the contents.

The parts list includes: several sets of allen head screws, 2 nuts, 2 rubber o-rings, 2 allen wrenches, 2 brackets, 2 rubber things for under the brackets, and a piece of rubber(junk).

The mounting brackets look top notch. They appear to mount either way, but favor the lip going inside the LED bar’s mounting area. They have raised and lowered area’s so once its tight it won't slip up/down. There’s also a small set screw under the main screw. The rubber piece fits into the slot under the mount to reduce the vibrations that make it to the light. The long fat screws go with the bolts to mount the brackets to your vehicle.

    [IMG][IMG]

The short/fat screws goes through the bracket into the light. The o-ring fits into the area outside the bolt hole. When you loosen the screws it adds resistance and stops the bar from dropping. This makes it easier to adjust before tightening them down. Once you have it where you want it, the small allen head screw fits below the big one. Its a tension screw that further keeps it from moving up/down on the mounts. (Note the bare area in the bottom track. Its from tightening the tension screw.) The tension screw does not go all the way in, so don't kill it!

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The light appears to be well made, and waterproof. The bulk of the thing is heat sinks. The thinner blades are just fine, more surface area = more head dispersion. I did notice some silicone pressing out of all the edges. You can't really see it so its not a big deal. The cover over the LED’s did not appear to be really thick like the RI led’s I have on the back of my truck. But it is a plastic material so it shouldn't have cracking/breaking issues. I cannot tell if the LED’s are actually CREE or not without taking the light apart. I won't be doing that to preserve the waterproof integrity(Jasper would have to confirm). They look to have the standard silicone bubble on top of the LED with the reflector on the sides.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

The power cord comes out on the bottom, mid light. It looks like it has a screw on tension thing(Sorry dont know the name) and its filled with silicone. Cable is 3(Update this later) ft long. Has the obvious red/back wiring inside a thicker outside shielding. I can't imagine anyone wiring it backwards, but I would assume the light wouldn't turn on. LED’s need the correct polarity to work.

    [IMG][IMG]

Overall im impressed with the light. I tested it on a car battery and it was god awful bright. I did find a mark on the lens that appears to be from a magic marker. Should come off, but maybe some better quality control there. Other thing I might change is the thickness of the cover lens. That plexiglass stuff is expensive as it gets thicker though. We’ll see how it holds up.

    How was it rough?...

It's a honest review of what he got out of the product. I am looking at getting a bar and thought it was helpful to compare this bar to other brands. Not all pieces of a product are going to be perfect.

^ no way. That was an honest review of what he received and his opinion. Some of the better detail shots we have seen yet. Good job. Lets see some mounted and beam shots

Not saying it wasn't a good review just saying felt to me like it was a little negative about the packaging and the silicone pressing out of the edges....obviously the seller didn't drop the package multiple times before it went out and just throw loose parts in the box....just felt that stuff could have been left out especially if it "wasn't a big deal"......light looks great tho great close up shots

I hear ya. Wasn't trying to bad mouth you. I feel that the silicone and the writing on the front are possible qc issues that either could be simply cleaned or wiped up at the manufacturer. Not trying to saying anything bad. And we all know shipping companies damage packages all time. Just went through that on a stereo from crutchfield, shipped via ups and it was hammered.

I think the whole point of that was how well it was package. The box and package looked as though it had been tossed around, but it was package good enough to show no signs of damage.

That's a major plus to the seller in my book and well worth the time to type up.

I know this is last minute but I wanted to offer up a new 50" dual row bar here.

23040 lumens (calculated, not out the front. Out the front is likely to be somewhere near 19800 lumens. 288 Watts. Combo beam pattern (outer edges are flood, center section is spot).

Pricing for the group buy: $590 shipped for a very short time! This will need to be paid ASAP as I am only having 4 available for right now and I expect these to go out the door VERY quickly. Payment can be made through PayPal sales@jasperoffroad.com First come first serve! :)

Colored covers would be great, like amber lens covers, to be used for dust lights.
