Just an fyi for everyone involved in the group buy or on the fence. I am not sure when the mounts for the rear will be completed and actually part of Locked Off-Roads production line. However, those who take part in the group buy will be able to purchase the mounts, once they are completed, for the same discount they got when purchasing the bumps.

This may not be the place for specific questions.. but I'm kind of a noob when it comes to air bumps. I have a King mid travel setup. I have custom 2" over extended King shocks in the rear to accompany my shackle flip and leaf setup. Would air bumps even be a good fit for me? I mainly crawl around the mountains with the occasional spirited driving over rough terrain. My only real concern is the maintenance on the air bumps. How often do they need rebuilt? Are they known to leak or be unreliable for a daily driver? I've tried searching for these questions but I'm having a hard time coming up with answers. If it is better just to call the manufacturer let me know! These aren't that much more than the shackle flip/wheelers superbump kit, so I'm leaning towards these. Thanks.

I cannot speak for brands like king or icon or fox but locked was founded about 3 years ago and they have not had any complaints or issues with leaks on their bumps. They have not had any customers coming back requesting a rebuild, however Riley at locked will always take care of his customers. If any leak were to arise and your bumps required a rebuild , Riley will hook it up:thumbsup: but yes. Considering your current set up now and what you use your rig for, air bumps would definitely be a good fit

Is there any other hardware required for the rear? It is currently weld on only?

Not sure yet. I should have a better idea in the coming weeks.

No sir there isn't. As mentioned before other companies like king and TC make a bolt on mount for the rear but they are kind of pricey. Locked is currently working on a mount to add to their production line that bolts right onto the rear of Tacoma's. Whoever is a part of this group buy will have the opportunity to purchase those mounts once they become available, at the same discount they got these bumps for in this group buy.

Is there an eta on the bolt on brackets from you guys? At current prices it's cheaper for me to get bolt on icon bump stops. How do these compare to the features offered on the icons?

I was just on Icon's website and the bolt on hydraulic bumpstops come out to be $754.06 after tax. At the current discount of 15% off, Locks bumps come out to be $304. (obviously right now, no bolt on mounts included). As of right now, I don't have an ETA as to when the bolt on brackets will officially be a part of their production line, and I am not sure about pricing, but they will be cheaper than what Icon, King and TC offer. Plus, once they do become available, everyone who participates in this group buy will have the opportunity to buy them at the same discount their received the bumps at.

They are 2.0” diameter body, Large 1-1/4” diameter shafts, hard-chromed, preventing rusting and essentially creating a self-cleaning system. Schrader cap mounts directly to the body of the bump stop, not the valve, creating a stronger seal, keeping everything clean and dry by keeping out dirt and moisture. Bump stop bodies are made from 4130 Chromoly providing the advantages of high tensile strength and malleability. Stronger and more durable than standard 1020 steel. Secure indexing pin prohibits the outside of the tube from pinching. Delrin contact pad is mounted with a single flush mount design, protecting your suspension and insuring quiet operation, with no metal on metal contact.

Some futures about the pin style ones: Pin-style cans hold the bump stop around the entire diameter, providing 360° coverage without any pinching like traditional pinch-style cans. The Sleeves built to allow room for shrinkage during the welding process (pics on group buy showing this). Indexing holes are laser cut and keep bump stop securely in place within the can.

Our target price on the bolt on mounts will be around $100 cheaper than what others offer.

Yes I was including the TC mounts in the price comparison. The icons have 2.5" travel and are claiming adjustable height (although I'm not sure how it works).

On TC's website the mounts itself are about $472.68, plus whatever it costs to just get the Icon bumps. With Locks mounts being around $100 cheaper than competitor's and the discount offered on these bumps, seems to me this is the better deal, but to each its own:cheers:. I can definitely promise you will not be disappointed in the quality of the bumps and their customer service.
