Group buy: Pop N Lock Tailgate Lock (Ends April 08, 2009)

I noticed the same. Please keep us updated Daniel, I'm sure this thing is becoming a pain in the ass for you, but don't give up!

 

I did not participate in this group buy, instead I ordered it thru a vendor back in March. I sent an email yesterday to the vendor (Truck Candy) re: status and got a response that P&L is shipping them the PL5300s on 7/10/09. So, if true, the 5300s should soon become available to you guys as well.

 

yeah what is the update on the 8520s cuz last i read was dgerm did have them and he just needed 20 bucks to ship them and that was solved by some of us in a matter of hours. its been about two weeks since and i have yet to read/see/hear of any progress.

 

I know it's hard to have patience with Pop and Lock but please chill out and leave Daniel alone, he has done all he can do, now we just wait. It will take as long as it takes.

Can you give us a quick update on the 8520s? Not rushing you or anything I’d just like to be informed since its been three weeks since the last update on the 8520s.

 

Hey guys I am back!

I had my exams on monday and moved back home the next day. Ever since then I have been working 10-12 hour days at my old job (long story since many people lost thier jobs due to budget cuts but I have worked there all through high school and have a good reputation so I have a 40+ hr a week job secured).

That means that I am home and on this group buy 100% until its done. The only problem I forsee is I work 7-5:30 wich are pop n locks operating hours. But my next days off are monday and tuesday leaving those open to place the order.

To clear up any confusion I never had the PL8520's and I am sorry for any miscomunication I may have given about that. For some reason those locks were on the invoice maureen gave me, but on the confirmed order she omitted them. Her reason was they were updating the instruction sheet for them and could not ship them without the sheet.

Anyway, I fully expect to have the order containing all the remaining locks on monday. I will put myself and hopefully the girlfriend to work getting the mailing labels ready so when the locks come in I can just package them up and take them to the post office.

Yes... and no....

Our first shipment of 5300's came and all but 5 were absorbed by backorders... Then the last 5 were ordered up within 1 day... I get 5+ phone calls every day asking if I have it... when you say yes them immediately take it...

So, we are out until next week and the backorders are piling up on those...lol

Hopefully you guys will get yours soon...

 

They sold me a 5200 lock for my 2009 saying that it would fit, it did not due to the camera. I had to pay to ship it back, then pay for the "free shipping" and a restocking fee. They also claimed that I just did not put it on right saying that they have sold a dozen of these to 09 owners without problems, total B.S. I would stay clear of them.

But... the 5200 will fit an 09 as long as it doesn't actually have the camera... you have to adjust it to make it fit and its not worth the trouble in the long run but it can be done.

We do not however do any of the above unless you fail to properly inform us of what truck you resulting in an incorrect part being sent, etc.

I think our reputation speaks for itself with our customers....

 

I don't understand...isn't the order placed? Are they aware of how many 5300's you need? Have you paid them for our locks yet?
If so, they should be processing our orders - not waiting for an order.

If you haven't ordered them, you won't "have the order" on Monday. People are waiting with baited breath to hear from you. It's important to be clear in your wording.

I believe you have already gotten your lock...many of us are still anxiously waiting. And to hear places like TruckAlt has already received shipments and fulfilled orders means there are no more excuses.

It sucks you have a busy schedule AND have to manage this group buy. But you did choose to head it up (as well as several other group buys). I hope you did not over-extend yourself given your personal situation.

 

In his defense, I believe all the locks were already ordered.... the 8520's and the 5300's just haven't shipped yet.

 

Hope the 5300s get here soon. i leave for my cross country move in 2.5 weeks. DGerm let me know when they get here. I will pay for expedient shipping

 

I think Veccster asked a valid question that needs to be clarified by Dgerm.

If Daniel is expecting delivery of the remaining order on Monday that is good.

If Daniel will be placing the order on Monday that sucks.
