Probably not. The box fits in the cubby which isn't very big depth wise.

 

Mine came in today. I'm going to push it with a NOS PPI PC250 that I've been hanging on to. Should be a great combo.

 

For some reason they cancelled my first order and all they would say is that my payment was in process, but that doesn't tell me more so I had to call JL to get the code reactivated so I can purchase it again. Good customer service from JL so far so I have no ordered the sub again.

 

I had problems with their online payment system, but after trying about 5 times, it finally worked.

 

It must be the 3rd party vendor they are using. I'm monitoring my cc statement to see if anything occurs. Typically our cc will text us if they feel the purchase wasn't valid and we didn't get that so I lean towards thinking it was the 3rd party vendor having some difficulty

 

Yeah. It's called Shopify or something like that.

 

ok JL may need to figure out their scenario with the cc company. I placed my order and then someone from jl called me and i had to call the cc company to make sure they process the payment then finally they did - strange, but at least it's ordered and processed

 

Yup, same issue with me. I used paypal, and I got an email that I had to call JL, confirmed my info and then it got processed.

My truck is wired just sitting waiting for the amp. Replaced all door speakers, ran 12 gauge wire from each door to the amp location, 12 gauge from amp to the sub, sub installed, all doors sound deadoned with noico, and I made my own harness going from the back of the radio to a ********* recurve, rcas from recurve to amp. Tunes the recurve last night. Just have to plug in amp and tune it once it gets delivered. Can’t wait to hear it.

 

The lady I talked to said something in to the affect that it is due to the amount, but still strange to me

 

I'll keep an eye on this thread for the next group buy.

 

Hey Solscooter - did these front and rears mount easily in the factory locations? Need special brackets etc? Also, for the fronts, did you mount the tweeter in the factory dash location, replacing the factory mid up there?

I did need speaker adapters. used the mounting circumference and ordered from taco tunes. yes tweeters went into the factory location. its not a mid in the dash, its a tweeter.

 

Got my email that it is being made so hopefully in the next week or so I will get it

ordered my box over a week ago and it came in the mail just a few days later. Finally got it installed today using a local car stereo outfit, and sheesh, this thing is BOOM'n hard. So much so that I'm wondering if I got too much.

I'll tinker with the amp some when i get home. Hopefully I can find a setting that allows me to run most songs at the same level. Or am I really now faced with having to change the setting for every other song? I hope not. /shrug

 

How much power are you running to it rms?

 

Ended up going with an amp suggested by the installer. A JVC KS-DR3001D 800W Peak (400W RMS) DRVN Series Class-D 2-Ohm Stable Monoblock Power Amplifier.

No idea if this is a problem or perhaps I need to tune it lower?

 

Nope that looks good. JL says 100-400 rms if I remember right so you're right at the top end of that
