Would I have to change the amplifier and/or head unit?

You don't need to change the head unit but would def need an amp. Factory system isn't amped unless you have the JBL

There's still an amp in the non-JBL system. It's just small, weak and inside the headunit. In either case you'd need a dedicated sub amp to run this JL stealthbox tho

How would an aftermarket amp be wired in a non jbl truck?

    For just the steathbox?

Need to find a signal input wire, some tap the rear speaker. run the signal wire from amp to that location. Connect to steath box to amp with speaker wire. Run power wire from amp to positive battery terminal. Run ground from amp to a good metal/chassis location

UPDATE!! AS OF NOW (11/25/2017), WE HAVE 28 PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GROUP BUY!! (with an additional 5 who are interested, for a possible total of 33) This is awesome! Between this page, TT3, TTE, and one other 3rd gen page, we're well over our mark of 20.

I will be contacting (via PM) each individual that has said they are in on the buy.

I'm currently negotiating a possible better deal, based on our numbers. Hoping to get an even better discount, or possibly free shipping. Understand that I can make no promises for a better deal, but I am working hard for all of us, so that we can all benefit.

There is still time to add to the list, so if you want in, or know someone who would be interested, chime in, tag people. The more Numbers we get, the better our leverage for additional savings!

Also, please be patient, with Thanksgiving and the holiday weekend, things will take a minute to organize. Thank you for understanding.

How do you think the rattling will be in the plastic cubby like that? Any Idea where the wires will go? I like it, but still on the fence for the group buy.

I matted the back of mine to cut that down. Doesn't really rattle all that bad if at all.

Wires go where what? I routed mine through the back and through the opening for the catch.
