ok so at about 1100 or slightly higher rpm, i have noticed a growling noise coming from under the hood. Also when the truck is at a idol, with the brake mashed, it will start to growl. you can let off the brake a touch and it will stop the noise.... any thoughts, or has anyone else experienced this?

Have someone stand outside while you rev it up and down in neutral. At the very least, they can point out the general area of where it is coming from.

When my truck makes a similar sound, I have to adjust the intake where it meets the fender. The plastic rattles against the fender at certain RPMs. Doesn't bother me too much, because I know what it is.
