That's good you got most of it left, haha!

I worked with a guy who had a seriously nasty finger-in-the-table-saw accident. I saw pics from the healing/surgery. They (doctors) sewed his middle finger to his ring finger so the blood supply could be used from the good finger to keep the other "alive".

Post-op of my right knee after cartilage graft and meniscus tear.
Oops, story... I was kicked by a student I was working with. Kicked from inside of knee sideways, ACL, MCL, PCL, meniscus, and damage to the head of the femur.
This pic was after surgery #7.

A friend of mines Dad cut off all 4 fingers on his left hand with a table saw. They were able to read attach all of them except his middle finger.

Student? Do you teach martial arts or something?

Hope this does(n't) make anybody squeemish.

I'm a klutz and a bit of a dermotillomaniac. I've pulled off both of my big toe nails from being ingrown and should of had 100+ stitches and more broken bones (raced gokarts and atvs, sliced the tip of my thumb off, spent summers on my grandfathers farm and stepped on a rusty horseshoe nail) growing up but never had any until my foot or since.

5 years ago I had a plantar wart on my right foot. Decided to take care of it myself. I flame/alcohol sterilized everything but ended up in the ER with my second toe purple from infection. After having drains put in and heavy antibiotics through a pic line, my toe curled into a hammer toe. Also came to find out, I have diabetes and neuropathy. After corrective surgery for the hammer toe (plate and 7 screws later plus knicked my achilles), I spent 18 months on crutches and an aircast. Doctor pulling the pins out of my toes was the weirdest feeling. I still get a deep open wound from time to time (where the wart was) when the callus gets too bad and cracks. But its been good for 3 months now but I will probably have to have more surgery to correct the bunion I now have on the foot.

But in the end I got rid of the boot 3 weeks before I got married. I met my wife, of 3 years now (but I've known her for 10 years when she moved a block away from me and started going to my church), because she worked in the hospital cafeteria, and wrote "get well soon" inside a heart on my tray.

Shes going for her LPN, but right now shes a Patient Care Technician on a rehab unit. Shes seen some pretty bad stuff, like a 6in hole over a guys spine from flesh eating fungus.

Jesus, how did I miss all this goodness on my own thread?! To be honest, there's been some hectic stuff in here, and I'm no longer hungry, damnit. Carry on with the carnage.

Totally, my mood outside of work has made a drastic improvement as well.

I had my front sproket land into the back of my leg one day when my chain slipped. But nowhere near as bad as this!

Just 4 diamond shaped holes that left a barely noticeable scar that almost 10 years later is hardly there

Not particularly gruesome but lost a toe to a tumor this week. It had consumed the last two bones in the toe and had the tumor removed. First time seeing it was today. Poor toe.
