    .... lay and fertilize their eggs in the wet sand, at the highest lunar tides... It's called a grunion run, and in California that happens in the middle of the night. However, in the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez), the grunion 'do it' in the daytime... A friend of mine was in San Felipe having beers on the malecon (sea walk) and filmed them:
