x2 and the fact that this is RWD (from the looks of it) makes this way more desirable than a FWD tc.

Subaru hasn't confirmed that their version will be STI, they only had STI on the concept since Subaru Tecnica International designed some of the parts, I really hope it does come with a STI trim option

throw a turbo or two on that 4banger and we have a winner

release it as another underpowered celica and we have a "butterface". oh so much potential; but no.

I wish they would put a N/A V6 in it making around 300 hp. That way no messing around with turbos and you could always boost that.

It will definitely be a Scion FR-S. I talked with my Scion District Manager and he said Toyota hasn't given a for sure price yet but they expect it to be under $25k

It's not all about how much power you have. This car weighs around 2600lbs. That is *extremely* light.

Also, handling is more important than peak power in most cases.

^ X2. The way Subaru positioned the BRZ/FR-S, if you wanted more power, just upgrade to the WRX STI.

I am seriously considering selling my Tacoma to pick up an FR-S. Though I might hold out to see if Toyota does a G Sport model of the GT-86.

just got an email from Scion.

    MSRP $24,930.

The FR-S pricing has finally arrived. And at a starting price of $24,930 MSRP*, Scion's sleek sports car proves it is definitely worth the wait. The FR-S has a front-mounted boxer engine, rear-wheel drive and 6-speed transmission, all at an amazing price. Get ready: Scion is bringing the sport back to the car when the FR-S is expected to hit dealer lots in June.

I seen one at the dealership here yesterday. I love the way they look! I'm gonna go try one out next weekend. I might have to buy one in the future ;)

Apparently it's pretty quick. 0-60 in about 6 seconds. I say that's fine considering the price. Here in Canada they are $25900, and a 370 runs $40k plus!
