well hey, why not save some $$.

ask her what she likes in the GT-R........ then ask her what she likes in the 370...... then YOU determine if whatever it is she likes more about the GT-R is worth the coin.......

If your wife is like the majority, she doesnt want it for speed. and as a disclaimer, i said "majority".

GTR doesn't have a clutch! True sports cars are getting weeded out. I live for the thrill of the ride, and a manual trans really adds to it.

    Haha...not doing it...can't make me!

Huge Point! The paddles do not do it for me! Plus the rev match option on the Z works great, so if you need some training wheels you can turn it on and flip gears all day....or in heavy traffic. Stillen is coming out with a super charger that will bring the Z motor up to 550HP. That's great because I am NOT tuning a twin turbo setup!

One of the other big turn offs with the GT-R I forgot to mention is the cost of fuel and maintenance, its borderline enough to make me crap my pants! I would be doing all the labor, just buying parts. Brake pads are 1200! Labor for the mechanically challenged to install the pads would run $2800...<----FACT!

Out of those two, Gt-r. I would spend that much money on a different car imo.

Just supercharge a Tacoma and give her that, I wouldn't go with the GT-R. Yes, the 370 are a dime a dozen, but at least a 370 won't break your wallet! Then, it leaves you room to Mod your Taco!!

GT-Rs are legendary...do you even have to ask?

I briefly thought about trading up from my 350Z to a 370Z Nismo. I test drove one and was not impressed. IMO the 370Z is a nice sports coupe on its own, but its a hard sell to a 350 owner. I could not justify $38K for something that was a spat faster and IMO an overall softer car than the 350. It sounds like an Altima unless you really get on it. Save the plush ride and the muffled exhaust tone for the G37.

I'd say GT-R too, but there is a huge price difference isn't there? Kind of like comparing a porsche to a mustang.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, everyone obviously chooses the GT-R.
We have a couple more days to make up our mind, I think the GT-R is going to have to possibly wait.

If she's experienced and could use the car's potential: GtR
if it's a weekend car for trips to the mall and downtown: get a 350z, not a 370z
but then again, it's her purchase like you said so it's up to her
